About Me

My name is Mew Ahmed, and I'm an English Literature and Creative Writing graduate from Liverpool John Moores University. Throughout my life, I've always turned to poetry for comfort and catharsis, bringing it into every nook and cranny of my head and my heart. Poetry comes as easily as breathing; with each breath I let out, I pour more of myself out into the world and hope the world is kind to my unpolished heart. I hope you enjoy your walk through my poetry - stop and stay for as long as you'd like. Just don't stray too far from the path.

Published Works

Currently, I am published in Stargazer zine Issue 2 and BLOOD ORANGE ZINE Issue 1 and 2, having attended both zine launches and showcased my work through the spoken word events. As well as this, I also have my own project, a website called 'take me home'. This website is designed as an anonymous submissions forum open to intergenerational immigrants in which users can post short sentences about how they feel as an immigrant and can come home to the site whenever they want.
